The Patient (Part-2)

He was running as fast as he could.

He didn't even know what was after him.

All he knew was that it was a matter of life and death.

He had to run in order to save his life.
It was night and the streets were empty.

Not a single car or a person could be seen.

He had ran nearly 6 blocks and was struggling to catch his breath.
His feet were hurting, he had no shoes on them.
A couple of blocks later he took a right turn and came on to a road which led to a bridge.

He glanced behind him but was unable to see anything.
Sweat was dripping from his forehead into his eyes.

He kept running and came on the bridge.
He couldn't breath, he couldn't run anymore.

Right in the middle of the bridge he tripped and fell down, probably his legs had given up.

He crawled towards the balustrade and got up with its support.
His legs were shaking and heart pouncing.

The water was gushing in the river underneath.

He looked down and could see the clear reflection of the moon in water.

He had no choice.

He had to do it.

He climbed the balustrade, took a deep breath and jumped.

"Mr. Liab?", A soft voice touched his ear buds.
"Mr.Liab?"
He woke up in a dismay.

His clothes were covered in sweat and he was breathing heavily.

A man was standing by the side of his bed with a concerned look on his face.

"Are you okay Mr. Liab?", he asked in a worried tone.
Liab still seemed to be in a shock.

He looked out of the window, it was still dark outside.

"How long have i been sleeping? ", he thought to himself.

"Mr. Liab?", The butler said again.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bad dream.", muttered liab drowsily.

"Sir, a woman has come to see you. She's waiting in the lobby.", butler informed him.

Liab gave him a surprised look.

"Were you expecting someone?", Butler asked.

Liab suddenly remembered who she was.

"Yes", he said while getting out of bed.
"I'll be down in a minute."

Butler went away.

Liab grabbed his cell phone from the side table.
It was 11 in the night.

He had slept for 6 hours straight.
